Following the advice of the Government we are not able to offer holiday accommodation until at least July 2020.  Of course, we will looking forward to welcoming you again once the restrictions are lifted, and we will let you know of the extra lengths we will go to to make your stay safe.   We can offer assistance to those who are part of the response to support key workers as part of the Stays for Heroes scheme

Stays for Heroes

Cider Mill Cottage is delighted to be supporting the Stays for Heroes scheme, which is aiming to help key workers find available accommodation during the Coronavirus Lockdown. If you are a key worker, and need accommodation then please contact us by email. Currently we are only able to accept stays from Key Workers.

The Sawday's Clean and Safe Charter

The Clean and Safe charter means that we will:

Follow government cleaning advice for non-healthcare environments
  1. All spaces which are high touch, and all hard surfaces will be cleaned twice and disinfected; carpets, mattresses and upholstery will be high pressure steam cleaned, and all linen will be washed at the hottest water setting before a guest’s arrival. Check-in times may be delayed to allow increased time for cleaning between stays, and at all times we will be following government guidelines for the UK.
  2. Guests will self-check and practise social distancing during stays
All group spaces or shared facilities will be set up so that guests can socially distance easily.
  3. We have measures in place to allow guests to practise good hygiene throughout their stay
the cottage will have amply stock of the necessary disinfectant, cleaning supplies, hand sanitisers and soap. Where possible, other measures to reduce risk have been  taken. For example, all our guest information booklets will now be digital.

You can't visit us at the moment but hopefully we will see you later in the  year or even 2021?

Head down the private farm track and you will find Cider Mill Cottage; set in this secluded and beautiful location of the Teme Valley Worcestershire. Built in 1820's the cottage stands in the private grounds of Ayngstree House and offers wonderful self catering accommodation for up to 3 people. Children over 5 years.  Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Until the late 1960's the mill was used for crushing apples and storing grain.  It has now been cleverly restored to create a perfect holiday retreat where you can relax and unwind in the unspoilt Teme Valley or venture out and explore the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire.

Cider Mill Cottage is a delightfully quirky mix of old and contemporary with the mill wheel taking centre stage in the open planned living area.

The sitting room offers the cosy welcome of exposed oak beams and Clearview wood burning stove, vintage dining area with log store and the kitchen which has a newly fitted heat storage AGA and modern appliances.

The modern spiral staircase leads up to a gallery landing and two bedrooms and bathroom. The bedrooms are a mix of antique, vintage and modern fittings, and offer our guests comfortable and cosy accommodation.

Welcoming goodies on your arrival of bread, milk and homemade jam.  All you need to do is decide whether to venture outside to enjoy excellent walking routes through the wonderful countryside which start  straight from the doorstep, or to curl up with a book in front of the wood burning stove and enjoy the peace.

The village of Clifton Upon Teme is 1 mile away and has a general store, a couple of pubs which serve food, and a church. A little further away is Martley ( 3 miles ) which has a post office, village shop and a car repair garage with  petrol station (where they serve you your fuel).
